I set the colors of a DIFFERENT columns if a specific tag (phrase) is found in tag type column. The tag column is not even shown in the normal Library view
<In paper Library> tag = Author Green
(no formats found) = Title Purple
Webscription tag = Date Brick Red
Not all... User Tag = Edited Date (custom) Red

so while you can't set a specific Tag color... You can use a specific Tag to Set some color
