I was a freshman in college and both of us were on the school newspaper staff. We didn't know each other, just saw one another now and then in the paper's office. One day as I was crossing campus on crutches after breaking my foot she offered to carry my books for me.

Seven years later after I finished grad school we met again. (But that is another story) and were married less than two years after that. This year will be our 29th anniversary.
