Someone over at the Transformer Forums summed up the inadequacy of the freehand annotation quite well...

It does a wonderful job at opening and rendering large pdf files. So, that's a plus. But you can't actually write hand written notes onto the document. What you have to do is write some stuff on there and then save as "notes" that are attached to the page. Meaning, you won't see these "notes" right on the page. You will have to open up the notes to read what you wrote. To me, this is completely useless.

Not talking about annotations. I'm talking about hand writing straight into the pdf page itself. I'm an old fashion guy. In my old paperback books, I'd take notes by directly writing onto the pages. I'd like to be able to do the same with my pdf files. Those annotations are annoying because you have to click on them to read. I want to be able to view the page and read my hand written notes.
