You can't change what Calibre SHOWS. you can only ask questions (Search) using those units..
(file) Size does not matter
A poorly formatted file may be smaller. A terribly formatted (full of MS Word cruft) may be bigger.
One file may contain all the dingbats/graphics used in the print book, the other only have stark text
Two versions of the same book that appear the same on the reader, but have different file sizes need to be examined using the 'Inspect' (right-click on the 'page' showing) feature of the book viewer, to determine what is going on.
EPUB's that pass Flightcrew or EPUBcheck should carry wore weight over 'bigger'.
try the "Count Pages" (also will count words) plugin if you are concerned about those aspects.
