You'd have to press really hard to scratch modern touchscreens. Why are you pressing so hard? That's not necessary.

The last thing I put a screen protector on was a Casiopeia E-115 PDA back in 2000. That made sense because it was a resistive touch screen with a stylus. I probably should've put one on my DS, but I didn't. Nothing else I own will ever have a screen protector on it, and I will be $10-15 richer per device for it
