That seems like a low number. However, lithium batteries do have a finite number of charge cycles, but that is for a complete discharge to recharge state. For example, recharging a battery from a 50% discharge state would only count as one half of one charge. It's for this reason that it is recommended to recharge lithium batteries frequently as opposed to some of the older type of batteries like NiMH that would develop a "memory" and frequent charging would actually reduce their capacity. This explanation does simplify things somewhat, but it is essentially accurate.
