I tried the sw update today. Used the instructions about updating from KoboJW.

The system patch instructions worked well, did not get any obvious status from the system patch, but as KoboJW indicated did not seem to harm anything to run. I did buy my Vox at around the date mentioned, so was not sure if I got one that needed the patch.

The update went smoothly. I did the check for updates, the sw indicated the update was available. Since I had not tried the system patch yet, I just did the update download at that time. Implemented the system patch per KoboJW instructions, then the system update instructions indicated to turn off the Vox, and restart. The update UI came up, sw worked for a while installing the update, the started up normally. All seemed to work fine so far.

I will note that I was not having any problems with the Vox other than a few battery charging issues which seemed to fix themselves after a 10 second reset restart etc (a few times).
