No hostilities taken. Internet forums are useful for technical help, but the emotional aspects, including my acting like a toddler (pobrecito) who’s Big Brother won’t give him his toy should be left out.
After lurking on this site for a while and seeing all positive comments on Amazon’s customer service, coupled with being taken in a bit with the marketing hype, I guess I let my expectations get a little too high.
Then I was travelling overseas when I realized that my new toy wasn’t going to be waiting for me on the one day I would be home before flying out again, hence the chat/email route rather than a $1/minute international phone call.
Now I can spend time with the relatives without an extra distraction from what does really matter.
So thanks to all for your responses.
