It IS in the Amazon App store. But Amazon only displays those apps that are marked as being supported on that device. I have 6 devices associated with my account and Go Launcher EX still shows up for those.

If you manually install a copy of Go Launcher, make sure that you download the same version that is available on the Amazon App store. I made the mistake of accidentally downloading and installing an older version which caused the Fire's UI to be unresponsive. It was only by using the Android SDK, temporarily rooting it, deleting the app, and unrooting, was I able to save it from the brickyard.
