kobo customer service is terrible

My daughter had her kobo touch less than a month and it is already dead. We bought the cover, she hasn't dropped it - she's very careful with it. Tried to get help from Chapters where we bought it and they said deal with Kobo. I have been dealing with them for weeks and I'm so angry. They either have so many complaints or they have too few staff. It has taken WEEKS to get any reply from them - I have now escalated my problem to the manager's manager and she still hasn't contacted me! What company will allow a complaint to go unanswered for days by a senior manager? Forget getting a refund from Chapters because their refund policy is 14 days - but then Kobo is saying because we bought it from Chapters that they cannot give us a refund. That's ridiculous. Chapters has done such a good job advertising the Kobo that I didn't know I could buy it anywhere else! Sure it's a nice looking product but if you have any problems good luck getting any help from kobo.
