Been awhile since I posted, but I finished Friedman's "That Used to Be Us" and, although the co-authors are both left of where I sit politically, they made a convincing argument for their approach on how to right the ship. Recommend.

I also read Walter E. Williams well researched and doucmented "Race and Economics" which opened my eyes to some things I only suspected and confirmed some others that I knew already. Recommend.

Needed a break before I jump into Newt and Condi's new books so I consummed the new Nikki Heat novel "Heat Rises" over the last couple of days. If you're a fan of "Castle", and I am, the whole fictional detective based on a fictional detective is kinda clever. It's not gonna win any awards, but it was a fun romp. Recommend for Castle fans. Everybody else won't get all the in-jokes that made me smile.
