The journal is really fun to reread later and be able to put all those thoughts (even feelings of frustration after the baby is born
).
A friend gave me a baby calendar when my son was born, a little flat one that had cute stickers to use. I continued using it (and others that I bought for this purpose) for all my son's appointments and milestones as he grew up. It was a quick reference to see weight gain, growth, shots, and even first play dates, sports, etc.
