A few years back I ordered a $1,200.00 notebook computer from Amazon that wasn't supposed to ship for several months. It ended up shipping about 2 months earlier than the estimated ship date during check out and I never received an email to notify me it was shipping early. It ended up sitting outside my front door for 11 days in the blazing hot summer sun before I found out it had been delivered.
