If I understand it correctly, using an unregistered device has complete functionality with the exception of B&N bookstore access and automatic software updates. Is that accurate? Has anyone used the “skip out of box experience” button combination on the new tablet yet? My local B&N just got them in stock and I will purchase with cash, no CC being used. Any feedback is appreciated!
I didn't try the "skip out of box" trick, I simply registered it. You do not have to use a credit card during registration, that step is optional. Honestly, I don't understand why you would want to skip the registration process, if you don't want to give your details, just fake them.
