The problem was in another network connection. I have two, wired and wireless. Wireless to the external ISP and wired I use only occasionally to access the corporate network. For some unknown reason, W7 showed it as disabled but in reality it was on. When wired is on, it precedes wireless. So, I was using corporate network and its barracuda firewall blocks youtube unless you are logged in to the domain with staff privileges. Obviously, I was not logged in properly so....
