Adobe also announced their products in a similar manner, first for Android then for the iPad.

I'm not sure if this is out of practicality or from marketing. But a lot of companies are starting to use cross development tools to develop for Android and iOS. Considering that Android has a faster app acceptance process chances are we are going to see this more and more.

Personally I think Adobe is starting a new trend here. These products are "Productivity" products that are completely designed with the tablet in mind. My criticism of the tablet space was the lack of "productivity" apps for tablets. If more and more developers start delivering these kinds of products the tablet market have an explosive growth even more than today.
