Nay: "etc. etc." If you have to say "etc.", which you rarely should, only say it once.
Yay: recognition. I've always loved this word because I've always seen it as re-cognition, which of course it is. Cognition, Re-Cognition, self-consciousness, Hegel and his Master-Slave dialectic... the mind wonders. The mind wonders why it wonders. The mind wonders why it wonders why it wonders... etc.
