And this particular reader is a Sony - I presume T1.
They might be getting mixed up with the download link. When you buy from Horror Mall it tells you the download link will expire in 24 hours, other ebook sellers might be the same. It's a bit of a swizz, because it means you have to make your own online backup, but it doesn't mean the ebook stops working once you have it.
