it's much less hassle for visiting friends and family for us to have a wireless network that's easy to access, even though the family desktops & xbox are using wired Ethernet
It's not impossible for people to PUT stuff (i.e., child porn, etc) on your computer through an unsecured wi-fi network even if you live in the country. If you're a city dweller, it's even riskier.
