Did you actually read the part that says (other then for Kindles)? This has nothing to do with liking Kindles or not liking Kindles. The reality is that Mobipocket as a format for purchase is dead. Sure, when the DRM is stripped from an AZW you get a Mobipocket file. But the issue is that Amazon is killing off Mobipocket (with the standard Mobipocket DRM). So basically, what we will have will be ePub, AZW, & KF8.
