I think it's fair to say it's not a visual puzzle, in that it's not something like 'number of closed loops in the letters making up the word'.
It's also not a maths problem, in that I'm not asking you to find a function such that f(4)=5, etc.
Even though it's not a visual puzzle as such, it
is possible that looking at the question might help.
