I have placed my first online order with The East India Company
I want to have it at home for Christmas Holidays.
Two teas that I love:
Keemun Downy Bud Tea
Emperors Yunnan Tea Prepack
Two teas that I really want to try and hope they are good
The Imperial Qing Lapsang Souchong
UVA Shawlands Estate OP
and two teas only small packs for tasting.
Tong Mu Bohea Prepack 25g
Boston Tea Party Prepack 25g
Boston Tea Party is pretty much straight forward
Quote:
Boston Tea party tea recalls events on December 16, 1773, when, after officials in Boston refused to return three East India Company shiploads of taxed tea to Britain, a group of colonists boarded the ships and threw the tea into Boston Harbour. Colonists objected to the Tea Act because they believed that it violated their right to be taxed only by their own elected representatives. Boston Tea Party tea is a strong and full bodied cup blended to revive one after revolutionary activity

isn't it?
In other words
a blend of high qulity teas for India and Ceylon. I hope there is no Darjeeling or Earl Grey (bergamot) but only Assam and Ceylon.
On the other hand the
Tong Mu Bohea is an odd animal.
Quote:
This Lapsang Souchong was one of the first to be imported into Britain by The East India Company. It gained popularity in Britain in the 17th century as new style of tea known in Britain as Bohea, a mispronunciation of Wu Yi Cha. Our tea is from Tong Mu village part of Unesco protected region of Wuyishan mountains. It has a more delicate flavour and less body than many lapsangs as it made from young buds and top leaves, creating an amber cup with a notable sweetness

Even though it has a funny name it is Lapsang Souchong?
We will see. I am looking forward to trying the 4 that I don't know
