Thank you! I've missed participating as well as the regulars. I've been snowed under (which would include literally, for a while. Snow before Halloween is just wrong, especially when it takes your power and internet with it.).

That said, I don't think I've got any especial acumen and I'm clueless regarding Tom's intriguing quote.

I can't resist commenting in regard to The Thin Man, that in the films, Nick Charles was the thin man. Not in the book, however. But I love William Powell and Myrna Loy, just the same. Why did they stop making screwball comedies?
