Testing. Much easier not to support something than be faced with thousands of complaints when things don't work. Perhaps Hulu is skipping Honeycomb altogether and going straight for Ice Cream Sandwich. Then again, the current restrictions could also be due to licensing deals. I remember the HP TouchPad being blocked by Hulu shortly after the fire sale.
