Solar's practical and financial viability is limited by scale, as well as its noncompetitive
position in relation to other available energy sources. Solar can be a viable option in
remote locations. It is also practical as a power source for very small scale devices.

In most places of the world, the daily solar potential per square meter is way too low
to support anything like a modern technical lifestyle dwelling.

But - the available solar energy density can easily support the energy needs of modern
mobile devices.
