I agree!
For me the issue is automatic ads vs. manual ads. As an analogy:
Say I have two DVDs. One DVD starts a series of trailers that I cannot skip before the main feature. The other DVD goes to the title menu and has trailers as a sublink that I can watch if I so desire. It doesn't bother me that they are "there" if I have the freedom to choose to watch them or not. They don't get in the way of me watching my movie, and I am under no obligation to see them.
Regardless of ads being
available on the nook, I think there is an appreciable difference in Kindle ads vs. nook ads in regards to
choice. (And as a side note, I chose to root my nook so now I have even more freedom.
