Kandle 2 light arrived. Here's my quick review with pics.

The design is nice. Feels sturdy yet it's relatively light. The arm to shine light is adjustable so you can angle it for better brightness.

There are 2 brightness settings, although I find the lower setting is enough light to read in the dark. I was used to a smaller clip on light with only 1 LED -- the Kandle 2 has three LED lights, so even on the lower setting it's enough light to read in the dark.

Clipping onto the new Kindle it is secure, doesn't move around unless you jar it. The only issue is the clip size and the bezel of the new Kindle being very narrow. I can't clip the Kandle 2 all the way down since it would cover a large portion of the top of the screen. See picture below for example.

All in all this does what it's supposed to -- provides lots of light for reading in dark rooms. The pictures I took were in a dark room (excuse the focus issue, camera couldn't focus well in the dark)
