I was kind of under the impression that the books would be available for download like Project Gutenberg. That way, one could transfer them to whatever device they choose.
I'm not a fan of needing internet access to download each page and stare at a computer screen to read the book. Maybe they'll offer a text version at some point (maybe to Google Account holders.)
