Citing Sigil

For a technical writing class, I'm writing a document on using Sigil and Calibre to develop ebooks from Word or Notepad documents.

In the document, we have to say who owns the names of the software.

My understanding is that Sigi.lis an open source application - is the trademark held by Strahinja Markovic? is it trademarked at all? is it under the Creative Commons rubrick? How do I cite it in the trademarks section of the copyright statement?

Thanks!
