In surfing over the weekend, trying to find a replacement for my Sony eReader 350 stylus, someone (Tony88) directed me to this website.
I've only had my eReader since July 2011 and I've struggled with the software to the point of not really using it very much. Each and every time I bought a book (through Sony or through Google) it was a nightmare! requiring calls to the Sony support and resetting my eReader to the manufacturers setting (just shy of doing the Hokey Pokey).
Also, we never had a successful purchase and download/upload from Google books and the Sony eStore didn't really have any of the books I was looking for.
My husband has a Kindle and never had any of the challenges I've had. Same with my MIL's Nook. I was starting to think it was boiling down to user error until I surfed about my glitchy software problems and found I wasn't alone in my trials.
I won't even go into the stylus subject. (Sony wanting $62 plus shipping for a replacement...shame on you!)
I was just about to put the new Kindle on my Christmas list (I've been nice!) until I received an email this past Wednesday from Sony with the new PC software, which is working GREAT! I actually found a book that I wanted, bought it and uploaded it to my eReader and it is presenting on the reader properly! Victory!
Tony88 also told me about something called Calibre, which I know nothing about. I'm going to do some reading today.
Anyway, thank you Tony88! You are very kind and helpful to take the time to direct me to this website
