Yeah - I felt the temptation to do this as well. That's why next year I'll base it on number of pages instead of number of books. That also means that short stories and novellas can get in on the action. It also means that I can pick up a bigger book and not be worried about how it affects my pace.

Also - I'm basing everything on a lower milestone. I'm only at 51 now and I've had a pretty 'readerly' year. So I don't think 100 books is a reasonable basis for my challenge in the first place.
