I got sick of owning a pbook collection. I had over 300 pbooks for a few years. Reading them became a failed and hopeless endeavor. Maintenance/reorganizing was also a pain. I had enough and decided to purge them all. Plus, I wanted to move towards a more minimalist lifestyle. I only recouped a micro-fraction of what I spent on the pbooks, but that didn't matter in the end. I loved donating them to the libraries. I don't miss the departed books at all. Right now, I have 5 or 6 pbooks. They may even be donation fodder too.

Additionally, I was tired of the local libraries not having the books I was interested in.
