When I was setting up my T1 for browsing I had lots of problems. At the same time my husband's laptop in the other room was having problems. We reset, (by unplugging the router, waiting 10 slow seconds, repluging, waiting for the router and modem to sinc) and then we both got on.
Next day, same problem. After a while I realized my 5 yr old router just wasn't performing consistently, so I bought a new router (just router, not modem), and set it up.
So far, I have not had any problems logging on with my T1. It connects every time.
Lesson learned: routers don't last forever.
