If you have the touch-screen freeze and you press the home button to exit the book before you do the reset, then you will not lose your data. After the reset, when you open the book again, it will remember the last page at which the flipping stopped when you pressed home.

Another user had to do a hard reset. He contacted Sony to get the sequence of keys, which turns out to be similar to X50 models. However, the user reported that he did not lose all of his data, which is different from warnings on the X50 models. His books were still there.

Where do you find a factory reset in the menu settings of the T1?
