That's terrible, Blossom! The nice thing is, Amazon is pretty quick about refunds once the item arrives at their return center. Of course, you're running into the weekend, so it'll take UPS slightly longer to get it back. How disappointing for you!

Is the reduced NC or upcoming one a possibility? I want to know if the Nook Tablet will let you sideload apps. Then I might consider it, but I don't like B&N's user interface from when I spent a day playing with an NC. Funnily enough, when I was looking at the NT leaks last night, the fiance freaked out a little. "I don't like the Nook!" (We just played with it and the Flyer in Best Buy) "Don't get it!" - "It's $50 cheaper than the Flyer and has almost as good specs, though I'm not thrilled with B&N's UI or needing to root it. Plus, I'd get it more than a month before the Flyer." - "Well, I still don't like it!"

He forgets - it's mine, not his. I'll be curious to see what comes out of the Nov. 7 press conference. If I could sideload apps, I think then I'd go for the Nook Tablet, and consider rooting in the future, once those kinks are worked out. Rooting makes me nervous, so I prefer to get most functionality without needing to do it. Come on, B&N, open up some!
