That's kind of what I figured. I have the free student prime (no videos), but I will upgrade anyway, though I may wait til I'm a little closer to when I need to pay.
So far, even the "free" videos with Prime hasn't quite tempted me, because the selections isn't as good as I would like. I'm not sure comparing it to Netflix is really a good comparison, as I could almost always find what I wanted on Netflix (when I had it, a couple of years ago) but I can't always find things I'd like to watch on Amazon. (Unless I'm just missing something, the selection on Amazon is much more limited).
