I ran a validation through Sigil, and the ones that wouldn't download all threw date errors in content.opf, while the ones that would download did not. The problem ones had dates in the format <dc:date>2009-07-13T00:24:50</dc:date> while the ones that would download had dates in the format <dc:date>2010-11-13T22:46:10.584000+00:00</dc:date>
I have no idea why this would be a problem with downloading from the site (if it is what's causing the problem) and why I can download the exact same files through Dropbox without a problem.
Perhaps someone who knows more about how epubs should be put together can weigh in on this. I'm not really up on the technical stuff.
