Hunting around both the US and Canada amazon sites a bit, my conclusion is:
-- If you buy your Kindle Keyboard 3G outside the US, or in the US for shipment outside, you are being told in writing the 3G internet is restricted to Wikipedia.
-- If you buy your Kindle Keyboard 3G inside the US for shipment inside the US, you might conclude that browsing is independent of whether the connection is WiFi or 3G. But, really, they aren't saying anything one way or the other.
This sounds to me a little like Bank of America's recent attempt to charge customers $5 per month for a debit card. It got them terrible publicity and they backed down. I think it will come down to whether reviewers consider free cell phone network internet an important feature. Am I optimistic? No.
Question for BeccaPrice: What happens when you are out of WiFi range and click on a link at the bottom of a Wikipedia article?
