More cores allow multitasking. My Dell PC has six cores so its great for games like Civilization V. Those Kindle Fire 2 cores will allow Silk to process more pages simultaneously at web sites than will Coby's 1 core. The Silk browser for tablet is a major innovation. I am not sure if the Coby is going to run it as well.

Anyway, you definitely will have your Coby 2 weeks before I get my Kindle Fire. Plus, if you like epub ebooks better than Kindle ebooks, then definitely the Coby is better. I only read Amazon Kindle eBooks and my wife uses a Sony PRS 500 to only read Sony eBooks.
