I had the same issue. Make sure there are no spaces in the URL. The name I gave my library (DropBox folder) had spaces. So, the URL had spaces. I had something like /calibre library/ instead of /calibrelibrary/.

Yes, you want the compatibility level to be "OPDS". Is that what you're referring to. See screenshot.
