I chose iPhone, mostly because I've been using one since about a year after the first one was released. I originally had no interest in the iPhone until one of my co-workers bought one and I got to see it in action.

There is a good reason that every smartphone since the iPhone looks and behaves pretty much like the iPhone. Call me an Apple fanboy if you must (although to be fair I should tell you that I'm typing this message on a PC), but the darn thing works, it works well, and I don't ever have to worry about it not working.

I realize that certain people are fearful of the "walled garden", but the thing about that is that quality control is usually a bit more tight.
