Working on a boat, there is a predominance of hoses, for bringing water, for pumping water out, for all the varying levels of water (from drinking to "black.")
Anytime I mention needing to buy/change/repair of length of hose the captain retorts
"Them ain't ho's, them's me sisters."
Strangely, this joke has not gotten funnier in the eight years that I have heard it.
