Edit: Well I gave it one more go! I did another chat with Kindle Support got a good one this time. Got my 50% off discount and now have a K4 cover on order.

How good is Kindle Support? I ordered a reconditioned K3 a couple of weeks ago, and had it sent to a U.S. address (I am in Canada). It came without a USB charger. I emailed Amazon CS, asking if it was because it was a reconditioned Kindle, or an error, and I had a reply within an hour with a credit for the charger. With all of the debates about ebook formats and devices, I'll stay with Amazon because they respond when there is a problem.
