BTW, you need to be aware that ".pub" and ".epub" are NOT the same. In fact that aren't even similar.
Historically, there have been several applications that use the ".pub" extension for their native files, all using a different data format. The most common, and only recent app, is MS Publisher. There are ways to convert these to other formats, but not by using calibre.
