I usually don't put the sceen part on but it is a wonderful anti glare system and you have no problem reading through it as for the touch screen it is activated by movement and heat of the finger.
If you have your book covers showing it looks a bit messy thats all
I always have a high quality anti-glare clear screen that way if I change the back, and I sometimes do I don't have to remove the screen part - it just saves time for me
