I didn't get any email back so not sure if it got lost. So I decided to try chat one more time. I got a wonderful person by the name of Shivamruth. I assume it's feminine but if not forgive me.
She did her homework on the offer. She too didn't understand why I got Kindle Keyboard one. She ask me for my serial number then ask me to restart the Kindle. When the offer still didn't show up, she asked me to try to apply the KK cover code to a K4 cover. That didn't work so she had me place the order then give her the order number and she manually changed the amount to half off.
So the moral of story is...don't give up! If at first you don't succeed... try and try again!
