Status report:
adb works, but I can't get a shell because /system/bin/sh does not exist. The mdt partitions still don't exist. I need to find the memory location that android_ubi.img.crc gets written to. In update.zip it is pushed via executables in busybox.
..... I just need to restore the MTD partitions somehow.......
