Buy the cheapest one made by a reliable manufacturer. I've always had good luck with Sandisk which is what I use in mine. The really fast micro SD cards are meant for cameras; a Class 4 to 6 is plenty fast for the Nook. eBook readers do better with slower cards which, very pleasantly, are generally cheaper as well.

eBooks files are generally pretty small so you don't need to spend a whole lot of money getting a big one. Actually, once you get to 200 books or so on one card it starts getting too easy to lose track of the one you wanted. You can use the SD cards to help organize your book collection.

I like to get the micro SD cards that come with a carrier so I can load my books directly from the computer and store my backup of my library on the computer.

We're lucky with the Nook to have an SD card slot. Congratulations on your choice.
