Yea, but what if the K4 Touch gets bad reviews, and the Kindle Keyboards are discontinued because that's the only way Amazon can sell the touch?

I missed whether MikeCL got the 3G, but if so, there's the issue of whether the Touch will have the no-monthly-fee most-of-the-world free internet which makes the K3 AKA KK 3G one of the great bargains in tech history. If you take Amazon at its word, the Touch will not have it.

I know a lot of people here look down on the browser, so I'm going to point out a new reason why 3G is important for people who use the Kindle to keep up with news and current affairs. Just about the best web site for people like me is longform.org. Yes, you can browse the articles on your PC and then use that site's SEND to KINDLE button to read them on the device better suited to long texts. But lately, pretty often, halfway through the article, there will be a NEXT link for the second half. If I had a no-3G-internet device, I'd be in the middle of an article on the Philadelphia subway, and I wouldn't be able to finish it. Instead, I finish it with little delay -- first half as a Kindle personal document, and the second half on the web. And the second half web segments even remembers that I like large fonts, which I could explain if there is interest.
