It certainly is a pity you feel so bad about your PRS300.

This model was my first ereader and I could not wait for it to arrive via mail. It is still my out of house ereader, working like a trooper. Compared to a pearl screen the text is rather grey, true, but it is still a great device.

We even gifted our middle daughter with a PRS-300 purchased second hand on eBay. She also loves her ereader, bringing it over once a month for "refills" Being a young and busy mum, she really appreciates how easy it is to read on. Now our son in law wants one.
